John Fritchey: His Personal Life

Not just a great human being and a highly skilled politician but John Fritchey has also proven himself as a loving and caring husband to his wife Karen as well as a wonderful father to her daughter. “I believe it’s as important to be a good family man as it’s to be a good entrepreneur”, believes John. Well, undoubtedly but it’s also a truth that it’s not easy to focus on family as well with so many responsibilities around, at least not for every one. But John has done it almost effortlessly or at least it seems like so.

With many such situations where John had to take a decision between choosing his family affairs and his work, Fritchey has always acted as a true leader in balancing the both with his interpersonal and leadership skills. He has made sure that not only the love of thousands of people remain with him always, in spite of all the challenges, but also the unconditional love and support of his family.

Fritchey had created the ‘John Fritchey Youth Foundation’, which was basically designed to create recreational and educational opportunities for the local children through funding obtained from various sports and academic programs.

John’s recent role as a Reformer

Recently John has been working hard running as a reformer just like his predecessor did in the Illinois house, springing all the way from Springfield to Washington. He’s after all one of the finest leaders world has seen in a while.

But that’s all the similarities with his former governor end, said John recently.

John has been putting incredible time and energy in the process of cleaning him permanently the debris filled up in the local politics and has been working very hard to hit the state politics in this process. A skilled politician and a great humanitarian, a rare combination, John has been targeted many times during his political career, to the point where he felt extremely disturbed. But like any great leader, he has always come back with doubled the effort again, proving his metal to his competitors and to those who try to pose a challenge for him.

One of these challenges posed on him was the question of his gaining a political advantage due to his father-in-law’s position, however, Fritchey has always discarded these kinds of things as pure nonsense and has proved again and again that he’s alone capable of bringing things to order whenever he wants.

John Fritchey: Awards and Recognitions

The list of awards Fritchey has received during his lifetime is not small. These are a few noteworthy achievements from the large list of his receiving.

1) Lakeview Chamber of Commerce Award
2009 Outstanding Public Servant Award: This award recognizes those who are elected or appointed government officials and have dedicated whole-heartedly their deepest efforts to make a positive difference in the community the government.

2) Illinois Environmental Council 2007: John for his incredible achievements, humanitarian efforts in this direction and for his ability to make a difference earned the ‘100% Pro-Environment Voting Record’ and has kept its worth.

3) American Cancer Society 2007 Leadership Award: John received this award for being responsible in the passing of the Smoke-Free Illinois Act, a move which has changed the life of many who have been affected by it.

4) Illinois Farm Bureau – John received this award for his work towards Agriculture. Called as the ‘Edgar County Farm Bureau 2006 Friend of Agriculture Award’, this is probably one of the finest achievements of John Fritchey.

5) American Legion - 6th District Council 2006 Citation of Appreciation, another award for his noteworthy achievements.

6) Life Services Network 2006-2007: For recognition of personal commitment and continued dedication for promoting older adult services in Illinois.

John as a Lecturer

John Fritchey not only has his name in the world of politics and public welfare alone but has also served as an adjunct lecturer in political science at Northwestern University in the past. There also and as always, John was known to be a great teacher, an able leader and someone who could inspire just by his solemn presence alone. His ability to put knowledge in the mind of his students was almost exceptional. No wonder he went on to creating so many successes in his lifetime so far. Are there more to come? Well, definitely!

Also, Fritchey is actively practicing in association with various civic organizations and many local community groups as well as the chambers of commerce. Undoubtedly, these associations have made him learn what he has been seen practicing all time in his career, helping others and making them feel the peace they deserve.

Almost ten years back, Fritchey was responsible for creating the famous John Fritchey Youth Foundation, specially created to promote recreational and educational opportunities for the local children by getting sponsorship of various sports and academic programs. Also, an annual essay contest is also promoted and supported by the foundation which involves performance of children in eighth standard across the entire district.

John’s life has been full of successes and achievements and he has secured a lot of love from his nation’s residents and from all across the world. Fritchey was one of the few candidates who decided to run for Rahm Emanuel’s seat in the Illinois’s fifth congressional district special election which happened recently in 2009. This however turned out be an unsuccessful campaign. John Fritchey had mentioned publicly that he would be running as the first Moroccan American for this seat. However, the winner turned out be Mike Quigley and John Fritchey had to suffice with the second position.

This failure doesn’t really seem to move the man even a bit from his powerful stand and interest in public welfare. He is still a person who would do anything for his nation’s wellness and continues to take an active interest in it, coming back again with doubled the effort each time.

John Fritchey: His Recent Achievements

John Fritchey is a man who is known for his continuous achievements. It’s a matter of great pride for anyone to be selected time and again for so many great honors, but then again, it could only be John Fritchey. His humanitarian efforts and his purpose leadership have always made him the center of attention where he’s continuously making a big difference through his able and powerful presence.

Recently, in this past session only, an important legislation was passed by John Fritchey to thwart the hazards and menaces of spyware, a computer program which promotes identity theft by spying on the computers of innocent users and sending their data to hackers who then use the sensitive information (like credit card numbers or bank account numbers) obtained for their evil deeds, such as spending online using someone’s credit card or transferring money from someone’s bank account to theirs.

These achievements lead John Fritchey to become the Chairman of the House Civil Judiciary Committee (2003) and put him at the front position where he was supposed to handle many critical and key proposals affecting the daily lives of the residents of whole nation. After all, who could be trusted more than John Fritchey for this purpose?

Leadership Achievements by John Fritchey

In a national lawsuit filed against cigarette manufacturers, Illinois obtained 9.1 billion dollars as an award. John Fritchey was made the Co-Chairman of the Tobacco Settlement Proceeds Committee right by the House Leadership. Playing an effective leader and a great human being as usual, John Fritchey was able to implement a whole program of ‘improving health of all Illinoisans’ using an excellent monetarily responsible plan which seemed to combine long-term savings and investments with major healthcare initiatives.

Also, John Fritchey was always a forerunner in the war to protect the basic rights of families and individuals as the Chairman of Consumer Protection Committee from 1999-2000. One of his greatest achievements was his successful campaign in restraining the escalation of ATM fees. This achievement won John Fritchey attention and praise at a national level and he became even more important and worthy of over by the entire nation. Very recently, John Fritchey drafted and passed a law which prevents retailers from printing your complete credit card number on their receipts. This step was taken by John to restrain the mounting problem of identity theft.
